Joey King locked in evidence battle with man suing actress over car crash

Joey King is locked in a legal battle with a man suing her over an alleged car accident that he claims severely injured him.

The man, named Parviz Mohammady filed the lawsuit in November 2022 over a car accident that occurred on February 13, 2020 in Los Angeles. He claims the The Kissing Booth actress was negligent and holds her responsible for the accident.

In documents obtained by In Touch magazine, Parviz claimed that the actress “suddenly … merged into his lane, and collided with” his car.

“As a result of the collision, [Parviz] sustained damages to the front right side of his vehicle and he suffered bodily injuries,” the suit read.

“That at said time and place, [Joey] … so negligently entrusted, maintained, drove and operated their said motor vehicle so as to proximately cause said motor vehicle to strike [Parviz] and thereby proximately caused the hereinafter described injuries and damages to [Parviz],” his lawyer stated.

The duo are headed to court for a trial and are now fighting over evidence related to the crash. The Uglies star demanded that she be allowed to share Parviz’s car accidents before and after the said accident, while Parviz argues that that would be irrelevant.

In response, Joey King's lawyer argued: “[Parviz] has put his physical condition at issue by claiming significant orthopedic injuries, including a total shoulder replacement surgery. [Joey] should be allowed to rebut these claims by showing that [Parviz’s] injuries may be related to prior accidents, which could explain the severity or longevity of his medical issues.”
