Actress Chanel Maya Banks, known for her roles in Gossip Girl and Blue Bloods, has filed restraining orders against her mother, Lutchmin Judy Kumar, and cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, following a series of public accusations and alleged incidents.

According to US Weekly, Banks filed a temporary restraining order against Singh on Thursday, alongside a civil harassment restraining order against both family members.

Moreover, the bank alleges that her relatives orchestrated a campaign to “harass and spread lies” about her, aiming to damage her reputation and career.

Additionally, the restraining order followed a highly publicized incident last month when her family reported her missing.

As per Daily Mail, Banks was located unharmed in Texas shortly after and she has since claimed that the missing person report was “manufactured” and accused her family of attempting to place her under a conservatorship.

Banks further alleged that her relatives burglarized her apartment, planted a tracking device on her vehicle, and physically assaulted her husband, Carlos Jimenez.

However, sources close to the case have disputed some of these claims, stating that Jimenez’s injuries were an alleged assault.

In response to the controversy, Banks released a statement on social media, asserting that she is “not missing” and has distanced herself from family due to what she describes as a toxic relationship.

As per the publication, she also accused her family of attempting to “weaponize the police” against her and criticized their efforts to control her life.

Furthermore, the family has denied the allegations, claiming that Banks is being influenced by a Christian group led by Pastor Robert Clancy.
