King Charles is reportedly desperate to meet his California-based grandchildren Archie and Lilibet despite strained relationship with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

There are speculations, the monarch will visit US in 2025 as he is set to return to his regular royal duties in the new year while he continues his cancer recovery.

Amid these speculations, royal expert Russell Myers believes that the US could be set for a visit from the King.

This he claimed while speaking on Pod Save The King.

However, host Ann Gripper said she doesn't think that is on the cards

She explained: "I am going to shoot down your theory of them going to America, because, who else is in America? Meghan and Harry.

“Who else is in America? Meghan and Harry, then it becomes an international, diplomatic….Are they going to come to New York, we’ve come half the way across the world and you’ve just come to the other side of the country, and should we just meet up, can we see the grandkids. If it’s not actually a thing, it will be a thing we’re all talking about.”

Ann Gripper went on saying she couldn't see King Charles is making the 'really difficult' move.

The royal expert said: "Can’t the King say look, ‘I know you would like me to and it would be helpful but it would be really difficult, can’t he come here? We’ve got a nice castle, we can put him up, he’ll like it.”
