It’s no news when it comes to JK Rowling's views about transgender issues, which were called by some as controversial.
The latest controversy was sparked by her tweet that there are “no trans kids' and people cannot be born in the wrong body.”
Her response came in a reply to a critic who slammed her for her “hateful focus on trans kids.”
Undeterred, Rowling expressed her views, saying, “There are no trans kids. No child is born in the wrong body. There are only adults like you, prepared to sacrifice the health of minors to bolster your belief in an ideology that will end up wreaking more harm than lobotomies and false memory syndrome combined.”
The Harry Potter author previously came under fire from her peers about her views on women's rights and transgender issues.
However, Rowling stuck to her guns in sharing her views publicly.
Previously, HBO boss Casey Bloys also appeared to sideline the controversy the British author’s views sparked after she was roped in to come on board for the new Harry Potter TV series.
She's been fairly involved," he added. "She was very involved in the process of selecting the writer and director, and I imagine she'll have opinions on casting."
"It hasn't affected the casting or hiring of writers and production staff. So we haven't felt an impact from that,” Casey concluded.
