Chelsee Healey shares shocking details about her tough pregnancy

Chelsee Healey, known for her role in Hollyoaks, recently revealed she had a C-section three weeks before her due date in her second pregnancy.

For the unversed, the 36-year-old actress had her daughter Cookie in December last year, and before and after the birth, she had serious problems with her mental health.

While having a conversation with The Sun, Chelsee, who also has a seven-year-old daughter named Coco, revealed that she had postpartum depression too.

The Conviction actress quipped, “I have suffered with my mental health for a long time, and it hit its peak while I was pregnant.”

She went on to explain that “There were times when I would have dark thoughts then blame myself, because I would think, 'How can I be like this when I am pregnant and have a young girl who needs her mum?”

“They had to put me into my C-section early because of my mental health. Cookie was due on January 14, and they put me in for my C-section on December 22. They knew I was really struggling,” she added.

Notably, the star of Burn It saw a therapist during her difficult pregnancy, still does, and takes medication to help with her mental health as Cookie turns one.

It is pertinent to mention that Chelsee shares her daughter Cookie with her partner Eddie.
