Kate Middleton heartbroken after Prince William snubbed New Year plans

Kate Middleton was left devastated when Prince William decided to leave her alone for New Year celebrations.

Back in 2006, the couple had made plans to spend NYE together after celebrating Christmas with their respective families. However, in a change of plans, William decided to cancel his rendezvous with Kate after a brief conversation with his family.

In book titled The Making of a Royal Romance, royal author Katie Nicholl noted: "William had been having second thoughts and sat down with his father and his grandmother to have a frank discussion about his future with Kate. Both advised him not to hurry into anything."

Kate was eventually left alone in the ‘flood of her tears,’ contemplating her romance with Prince William.

The couple eventually tied the knot in 2011 and were titled the Prince and Princess of Wales after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
