Emma Heming is marking 17 years of togetherness with her husband Bruce Willis.

Taking to Instagram, the model and entrepreneur, 46, shared a photo of the couple enjoying a sunset in shallow waters and their swimsuits.

“17 years of us,” Emma began her lengthy tribute where she explained the emotional complexities of their situation given Willis, 69, diagnosis of dementia.

“Anniversaries used to bring excitement,” she continued. “Now, if I’m honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach."

The mom-of-two continued, "I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the ‘why him, why us,’ to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake it off and return to what is. And what is… is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it, and it’s because of him. I’d do it all over again and again in a heartbeat.”

Willis' diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) followed his language disorder aphasia in 2022, owing to which he had quit his acting career at the time.

For those unversed, FTD is a progressive condition that causes the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain to atrophy—leading to issues with speech, emotional problems, and changes in personality.

Heming is mom to Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, while her husband Willis also has kids Demi Moore; namely Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, as well as granddaughter Lou, 20 months.
