King Charles pays emotional tribute to late US President Jimmy Carter

King Charles released a sentimental statement following the dismal of the former president of the United States, Jimmy Carter.

The monarch sent his condolences to the family of the 39th president of the U.S. who passed away on Sunday, December 29.

"It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of President Carter," King Charles expressed his grief, posted on the official account of the Royal family on Instagram the same day.

"He was a committed public servant, and devoted his life to promoting peace and human rights. His dedication and humility served as an inspiration to many," The statement continued.

King Charles recalled his one and only meeting with Carter at the G7 Summit in London in 1077, "I remember with great fondness his visit to the United Kingdom in 1977."

"My thoughts and prayers are with President Carter’s family and the American people at this time," he concluded the message to current U.S. President Joe Biden.

It is pertinent to mention that the lomgest-living president of the U.S. died at the age of after receiving intense care since February 2023 at his home in Plains, Georgia as per Carter Center posted on X.
