Katie Holmes appears to be in high spirits ahead of 'Our Town' performance

Katie Holmes was spotted in great spirits on Sunday while heading to a matinee performance of her acclaimed Broadway revival, Our Town.

The Dawson’s Creek alum donned a casual ensemble as she paired it with baggy blue jeans with a striped blue-and-white sweater and a textured brown jacket.

Moreover, she completed her look with a dark gray beanie, oversized sunglasses, and white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, while carrying a coffee in each hand and a black tote slung over her shoulder.

According to Daily Mail, this appearance came days after Holmes celebrated her birthday on December 18.

Meanwhile, her 18-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, joined the cast and crew backstage at the Barrymore Theatre in Manhattan to serenade her with a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday.

In this regard, Holmes later shared moments from the celebration, including a humorous nod to a vintage Robert Redford headshot, through her Instagram Story.

Our Town, which is written by Thornton Wilder, marks its return to the stage after more than two decades, opening on October 10.

Additionally, the production, directed by Kenny Leon, stars Holmes as Mrs. Webb alongside Jim Parsons, Richard Thomas, and Zoey Deutch.

Furthermore, the revival earned recognition as one of the best theatre productions of 2024 by major outlets including The New York Times and Entertainment Weekly.

It is worth mentioning that Holmes expressed her gratitude by writing on Instagram, “I am so grateful to be a part of this production saying these beautiful words with my favorite actors.”
