'Home Alone' icon Daniel Stern reveals his grandkids don't know he's famous

Home Alone star Daniel Stern has reflected on his fame and stepping away from Hollywood.

Daniel, who played the iconic role of Marv Murchins in the beloved movie, is now a grandfather to six grandchildren.

Speaking with PEOPLE magazine, Daniel revealed that his grandkids have no idea about his fame.

He said, "I've got six grandkids now and another one coming, and I'm like, ‘Okay, well, who are these people going to think I am?’" adding, "They know me as grandpa."

"At some point, they're going to see these movies, or their kids might see the movies — and that’s a mindblower — that they're going to see grandpa get pelted with a brick," Daniel added further.

After years in Hollywood, Daniel now focuses on family and community. He shared about his life, saying, "I coached all my kids' teams. I taught in their classes. I manned the playground in our community."

"I was awarded the President's award for ... the Call to Service Award for volunteerism. So I loved to give back to the community, and that became a huge part of my life," he added further.
