For the new album Missionary, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have taken a sample of a song, Watermelon Fantasy, for their track Outta Da Blue.
Daylight Studio, a London-based non-profit studio for learning disabilities, made the song in 2018.
One of three artists involved in the making of the song, Tina Bruins, reacted to the news in an interview with the Guardian.
"I was shocked. I remember being like: ‘Whaaaaaat?’ I didn’t know it was going to be released by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. I thought no, I thought it was a fantasy," the singer, who is a fan of Snoop, said.
"It was a good shock because it sort of proves I make good music. I’m proud of [Watermelon Fantasy] because Snoop Dogg took it over," Tina noted.
The track, in the meantime, became such a hit that the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action featured it in its trailer.
In other news, Snoop recently received happy news from her daughter, who told him he was going to be a grandpa.
"I found out Oct. 28," Cori Broadus told E News!. "This baby is so unplanned, but we are soooooo blessed."
"My mom and dad were so excited, their baby girl is having a baby. My dad was hoping for a grandson, though," she shared.
