Gal Gadot said she was diagnosed with a "massive" brain blood clot in her eighth month of pregnancy and gave birth during emergency surgery.
Taking to Instagram, the "Wonder Woman" actress said, “It’s so important to identify early because it’s treatable ... Sharing this is not meant to frighten anyone but to empower."
She wrote, "I had no idea that 3 in 100,000 pregnant women in the 30s+ age group are diagnosed with CVT(develop a blood clot in the brain) .
"It’s so important to identify early because it’s treatable. While rare, it’s a possibility, and knowing it exists is the first step to addressing it. Sharing this is not meant to frighten anyone but to empower. If even one person feels compelled to take action for their health because of this story, it will have been worth sharing."
Thousands of her fans reacted to the shocking revelation and wished her a long and healthy life.
As it happened after recent deaths of many high profile celebrities, conspiracy theorists were quick to hold COVID vaccines responsible for the health issue the actress mentioned in her social media post.
Even the details shared by the actress couldn't stop anti-vaxxers from spreading theories.
An X account with more than 200,000 followers shared Gadot's photo and wrote, "Breaking: fully vaccinated young healthy actress, Gal Gadot admits she underwent major surgery to remove a blood clot. She got after her Covid vaccines. We hear this each and every day and it almost took out my dear relative , who is a pilot for one of the major airlines."
Several other accounts also attributed her health problem to the vaccine without any evidence.
Some social media users posted screenshots of Gal Gadot's statements urging people to get vaccinated.
