Liam Payne death: Five people charged including friend

Five people have been charged in connection with Liam Payne’s tragic death in Argentina on October 16.

Liam died after falling from the third-floor balcony of his room at hotel Casa Sur in Buenos Aires.

Reports from Argentinian media outlets Clarín and Infobae have revealed that five people have been charged with manslaughter, including Rogelio “Roger” Nores, who claimed to be a pal of the late One Direction singer and was with him the day he died.

Others charged include hotel employees Esteban Grassi, Braian Paiz and Ezequiel Pereyra. The trio have been charged for supplying the Teardrops hitmaker with drugs.

Nores has previously shared his recollection of the day the singer died, saying, "I'm a very good friend of Liam, and I was with him the day that he passed away."

"He (Liam) was in in good spirits. He was like talking to 10 or 15 Americans that were here for a wedding. And so he was talking to them, and he was joking around," he added.

“I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened. There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left,” he shared.

Liam Payne’s funeral was held in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, in November.
