Sabrina Carpenter has shared insights into her initial opinion over her song Espresso.

While chatting with Hollywood Reporter, the Girl Meets World actress candidly expressed her gratitude for her sixth studio album’s song.

“I remember deciding to put this song out in the beginning of summer,” she began by saying. “And thinking espresso coffee is kind of more of a fall beverage.”

The songstress studio album Short n’ Sweet song Espresso was released on April 11, 2024.

Moreover, Carpenter revealed her doubts over her hit song and continued, "I really didn't know if it would connect, but the sentiment and the sound of the song and the confidence that it kind of just carries along with it was something that I really believed in.”

In 2024, the Please Please Please singer was nominated for six Grammy Awards and told the outlet, “The way that the world has changed, people really appreciate connection more, I think, because it’s such a rarity.”

Somewhere in the interview, she admitted that she is grateful for the year 2024 and said, “It’s absolutely the perfect way for me to end the year, the perfect way for me to kind of celebrate this song that just won’t go away.

“Once it is, we’ll talk then. But for now, I’m happy that people are still enjoying the humor behind the song and excited about the drink,” the 25-year-old singer concluded.

For those unversed, BBC radio label Espresso as the 1’s song of the year and also, it is Billboard's number one global song of the summer for 2024.
