Former football legend David Beckham has broken his silence after he was snubbed for knighthood yet again from King Charles New Year Honours list.

David failed to get a knighthood for another year as King Charles New Year Honours list was announced on Monday night.

According to the list, more than 1,200 people from across the UK received honours in the latest list, but the ex-England captain was not one of them.

Former England men’s senior manager Gareth Southgate has also been recognised in the King’s New Year Honours List for 2025.

Following the snub, David Beckham took to Instagram and shared stunning family photos to mark New Year.

He said, “Happy New Year from myself , my wife and my amazing kids... Thank you for unforgettable year and I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2025. Love David x.”

Speculations over whether David would receive the honour have been swirling ever since King Charles ascended to the throne.
