Singer reacts to Kate and William's message

Almost half a million people liked Prince William and Kate Middleton's Instagram post the couple shared to wish people a Happy New Year.

The post contained as many as 18 photos from 2024, the year that saw the Princess of Wales being diagnosed with cancer.

The collage of pictures also featured an image of US singer Taylor Swift with Prince William, Princess Charlotte and Princes George.

The picture was taken in June at an event Kate Middleton and the couple's younger son Prince Louis had skipped.

Hundreds of people wrote comments to wish Kate Middleton a healthy recovery and a good year to her family.

Prominent among those who commented on the Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram post was British singer and songwriter, Paloma Faith, who wrote "Happy new year lovelies xxx".

Kate Middleton hosted her annual Christmas carol service on December 6 which featured performances by Paloma Faith and other performers.
