Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids reportedly wish their mother had been more vocal in standing up for herself during their lengthy 8-year divorce battle.
As per a report by People magazine published on January 1, a source revealed to People magazine that Jolie's children "wanted her to speak up for herself."
"She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time," an insider told of the Oscar-winning actress.
"The kids have grown up seeing that some people have so much power and privilege that their voices don’t matter. Their pain doesn’t count," the tipster continued
"They have wanted her to speak up for herself, to defend herself over these years but she reminds them to focus on changing laws over telling public stories," the bird chirped.
The exes share six children together Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
Jolie and Pitt who first met at the set of their 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, tied the knot after 10 years of relationship in 2014.
However two years after their marrige Jolie filed for divorce alleging Pitt for being abusive to her and children on a private plane flight.
On December 30, the Maria actress and the Wolf actor reached a divorce settlemnet and signed off the papers making it official.
