Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom began the New Year in a tranquil fashion, celebrating 2025 with a couple’s yoga session in Tokyo.
The 40-year-old singer and her fiancé, shared glimpses of their serene start to the year via social media.
In a post on her Instagram, Perry showcased the couple seated back-to-back in a hotel gym overlooking the Tokyo skyline.
The California Gurls singer sported brown leggings and a matching sports bra while Bloom opted for a minimalist look, wearing black shorts that revealed his toned torso.
In regards to her hair, Perry styled a high bun and minimal makeup while accessorizing with gold chains, bangles, and bright red nail polish.
Moreover, she wrote in the caption, “Sending love to all in this next year,” while adding a comment, “The new year is always an opportunity for transformation… as a 5x Scorpio, transformation is my middle name.”
Additionally, the couple also toasted the New Year with sake at a sushi restaurant, sharing moments as a chef prepared their meal.
A gift awaited them in their suite, which appeared to be a glass-covered box filled with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and grapes for a healthy start to the year.
According to Daily Mail, Perry’s visit to Japan appeared to coincide with a promotional campaign for audio brand Denon, with the singer mentioning her music in her post.
In 2024, she ended her seven-year run on American Idol in May and faced critical backlash after releasing her seventh album, 143, in September. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard charts but quickly dropped off, with critics calling it a misstep.
Additionally, the album’s lead single, Woman’s World, and Perry's association with controversial producer Dr. Luke drew negative attention. However, Perry defended her collaboration, citing contractual obligations.
As a final note for 2024, Perry released an extended version of her album, 1432, on December 20, including the single No More Tears for New Year’s, which achieved No. 1 on iTunes charts in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Jordan.
