Kate Beckinsale exposes dark reality of Hollywood

Actress Kate Beckinsale, known for her roles in Underworld and Pearl Harbor, has opened up about facing s***** assault and being branded "that c***" on set.

On her Instagram, the 51-year-old posted a video about her difficult time in Hollywood, revealing that she was made to do a photoshoot while bleeding following a miscarriage and that an actor was "rough with her" on a "toxic" set.

In the video, Kate claimed that Blake Lively's lawsuit inspired her to speak out, saying, "The behaviour Blake alleges she experienced from co-star Justin Baldoni has been going on forever."

The star of The Aviator went on to share one of her experiences by quipping, "I was actually, at the age of 18, felt up by somebody that I really trusted on a crew."

She added, “I went to the lead actress, who is known for being a supporter of women, and said this has happened, and I was told, 'No, it didn’t.'"

“I went to another actress, crying, and said, ‘I’ve just been assaulted by this man’—again, ‘No, you haven’t been.’ So this has just been going on forever,” Kate stated.

Expanding on this, she mentioned, “What really annoys me is I see a lot of men going around saying, ‘Things were so different a while ago; the climate is so different, and it's so much better.’”

Kate emphasised her point by saying, “No, it f****** isn't. And if you're a woman and you have a legitimate complaint—somebody's touching my boobs and calling me a c*** or calling me a b****—you're f*****.”

The Total Recall actress highlighted that she was called derogatory names after she complained about waiting six hours for her "drunk co-star" to show up to work. 

“I’ve been on a film where, by the end of it, I was referred to over walkie-talkies and to my face as ‘that c*****’ because I had said, ‘I’m finding it very difficult—my co-star is drunk every day,’” she concluded.

It is pertinent to mention that during the whole video, Kate did not proclaim the name of her co-star who misbehaved with her.
