Chris Pratt kicked off the new year with a new fitness routine and goals.

The actor took to his official instagram account on January 2 to share a video of him hitting the gym after taking off in the months of December.

“Anyone out there dealing with the December Fats? I know I am! Love handles fueled up and fluffy,” Pratt wrote in the caption.

The Jurassic World actor continued, "But that’s what the start of the new year is for!! Started Def Reset Yesterday. Knocked out day two today.”

Showing off his first day at the gym Pratt said in the video, "I took the entire month of December off. It was glorious and I gained a little bit of fluff in this section,” he said, rubbing his stomach. “The love handles are all fueled up. Gonna have to work on those.”

Giving insights into his New Year fitness resolution, his main goal is “to be in the best shape I could possibly be by the time we start filming The Terminal List season two which is in March. That gives me about 8 to 10 weeks."

So I'm hoping to transform my body. I'm not new to this game," he said pointing at his transformation from his naive character in Parks and Recreation to Marvel superstar Peter Quill.
