“Happy birthday to the most affectionate 220 lbs man that ever existed [sic],” she wrote alongside a series of photos of the couple. “I cannot imagine life without you.”

“The first pic is the first I ever posted on Instagram. The second is from our wedding day,” she added.

In the first snapshot, the actress and her husband shared a passionate smooch while the second picture also showed the pair locking lips in a car.

The post also included photos of Shepard sharing a kiss with their daughters, followed by some more kissing pictures of the couple that has been married since 2013.

In the comment section, Shepard teased, “How dare you make me cry on my big day of turning super old,” with a string of heart emojis.

The birthday tribute comes after Shepard joked about the onscreen romance between Bell and her Nobody Wants This costar Adam Brody in October.

"My friend... we watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I'd argue is the very best kissing scene ever, ever put on film," Shepard shared of a smooch shared between the pair on the series.

"And my best friend, Aaron, from childhood, he goes, 'Does she ever kiss you like that?' No, I didn't even know she could kiss like that," he added.

The couple is also parents to daughters Lincoln, 10, and Delta, 9.

"Not as good as her and Brody," Shepard answered when asked about his own "chemistry" with Bell.
