Ryan Reynolds has refuted allegations that he “screamed” at director Justin Baldoni during a heated meeting at the actor’s New York penthouse.

According to Daily Mail, the Deadpool star was “stern and passionate” but did not raise his voice, contrary to claims made in a lawsuit filed against him and his wife, actress Blake Lively.

Moreover, the lawsuit accuses Reynolds and Lively of “bullying” Baldoni, who directed the film It Ends With Us, alleging that Reynolds berated him over grievances, including “fat-shaming” Lively,

Baldoni described the encounter as “traumatic” claiming that he had “never been spoken to like that in his life.”

As per TMZ’s reports, Reynolds was firm in addressing the issues but the accusations of him "screaming" were exaggerated.

Additionally, an insider added that all attendees, including other producers and a Sony representative, were aware of the nature of the discussion in advance.

Furthermore, the meeting has sparked a spiraling legal battle, with Baldoni allegedly planning to countersue Lively after she accused him of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment on the films set.

Meanwhile, Baldoni has denied these claims, and his legal team intends to release text messages to counter Lively's allegations, as per the publication.

In addition to the lawsuit against the couple, Baldoni has filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times over a report alleging a "smear campaign" against Lively.
