Jay-Z has been officially allowed to file for dismissal case over rape accusation in the latest ruling by Judge Analisa Torres.
For the unversed, the rapper has been accused of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl identified only as “Jane Doe”, along with Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000 at an MTV Video Music Awards after party.
In his response, the music mogul, whose name is Shawn Carter, while denying the allegations, labelled them as "idiotic".
According to METRO, the 55-year-old rapper’s lawyer filed a motion in which they requested to be allowed to file for a dismissal in his ongoing legal battle.
Now, on Thursday, January 2, the husband of Beyonce, has been granted a request to be allowed to file for a dismissal, according to the court documents shared on X (formally known as Twitter).
Law journalist Meghann Cuniff shared the documents on social media which states that “Carter’s request to file a motion to dismiss Plaintiff’s amended complaint is granted”.
The ruling in Jay-Z’s favour, on other hand, has been responded with an objection by Tony Buzbee, lawyer representing Carter’s accuser.
