Tom Holland dishes on 'animosity' on the set of 'The Crowded Room'

Tom Holland has opened about his stress while filming The Crowded Room.

During an interview with Men’s Health, the Spider-Man: Homecoming actor also candidly talked about when he was close to breaking his sobriety.

Recalling the working environment of the set of the mystery movie, he began by saying, “There was quite a lot of animosity on that set.”

Holland portrayed a role of a young man Danny Sullivan, who was arrested for a mystery murder, in The Crowded Room in 2023.

Referring to the arguments while filming, continued, “It was not a very harmonious place, and there was a lot of arguing and butting heads.”

“I thought, If I start drinking again now, with all this going on, it’s gonna get worse, right?” Holland told the outlet.

Moreover, the 28-year-old actor mentioned his sobriety journey which began from January, 2022 and admitted, “I’m quite strong-willed. When I decide to do something, I’m really gonna do it.”

Before concluding, he shared, “I leaned on close ones a lot: family, friends, old colleagues, new colleagues, people that reached out that I didn’t know who also were sober.”

For those unversed, Tom Holland and Zendaya first met on the set of Spider-man: Homecoming in 2016 and the couple confirmed their relationship in 2021.
