‘Marry My Husband' star Park Min Young quits agency amid massive success

Park Min Young, veteran Korean actress known for her roles in hit series like Marry My Husband and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? has parted ways with her agency Hook Entertainment.

She had been in partnership with the company since 2021 but her contract came to its natural end on December 31. Both parties made the decision to not renew the contract, according to the agency. 

Reports of their contract ending were released on January 1 by TenAsia in response to which Hook Entertainment confirmed the news themselves, “It is true that Park Min Young’s contract has ended. We will continue to support her until the completion of her current drama. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Park Min Young is currently in the process of shooting her upcoming drama titled tentatively The Confidence Man KR. The drama will be a Korean adaptation of the Japanese comedy series The Confidence Man JP.

The series follows three people who form a team that extorts money from those who have it in excess, or those who acquired it through wrongful means. The Korean adaptation will be directed by Nam Ki-hoon.
