Neil Young just made a major U-turn!
After previously having announced that he would be boycotting the Glastonbury Festival, he has now finalized that he would in fact be headlining it after all!
The 79-year-old iconic singer had stated previous week that he and his band, The Chrome Hearts, would not be playing this summer because of BBC’s involvement in the festival.
However, now, the Heart Of Gold singer has reversed his decision that he took because of "an error in the information I received.”
As per the statement on his website, Young mentioned, "Due to an error in the information received, I had decided not to play the Glastonbury Festival, which I have always loved.”
"Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing. Hope to see you there,” he concluded.
Over this change of plans, Emily Eavis, Glastonbury organizer, revealed that she was over the moon due the Young’s decision.
“What a start to the year!” she mentioned on Instagram.
"Neil Young is an artist who's very close to our hearts at Glastonbury. He does things his own way and that's why we love him. We can't wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June," she further wrote.
