Taylor Lautner has finally opened up about his film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in a new interview with People.
Him and his wife, also named Taylor Lautner, were chosen as the 2024 Creators of the Year.
Discussing the 2005 breakout role, Lautner admitted, “It does feel crazy.” He also revealed that he had managed to keep in touch with some of his co-stars from the film.
He hosted "Sasha Pieterse on the podcast” and also “Cayden Boyd a couple of times". When speaking with Pieterse, Lautner claimed that the film was one that “never [seems to go] away.”
Pieterse readily agreed, and discussed how bizarre it had been to watch the movie with her son. “He had no idea that it was me [in the film]. But it kept his attention for quite a while, which was good.”
Lautner continued, “It's funny because as an adult you go back and you watch it right now and you're like, 'Wow, those graphics were pretty rough.' But other than that, there's something in it that’s [so special].”
Even though Taylor Lautner chose not to reprise his role as Sharkboy in the Netflix flick We Can Be Heroes, he admitted that the iconic original “stood the test of time."
