Zendaya opens up about her 'complicated' past with child stardom

Zendaya opened up about complicated relationship with her childhood stardom after gaining fame at the age of 14.

In a recent chat with the Hollywood Reporter, the 28-year-old actress shared her strong opinions on children becoming stars.

As the Spider-Man actress rose to fame after her big break on Disney Channel's Shake It Up, she shared her own experience saying that she has a "complicated relationship with the idea of child acting."

"I’ve seen it be detrimental to people," she told the outlet.

"I wouldn’t change it, but there are things that I wish I lived out privately, you know?" she continued, pointing out her role in the Shake It Up with Bella Thorne.

"Because you’re figuring out who you are in front of the world. And you’re like, 'I’m trying to do this right. I want to make everyone happy, but I don’t really know who I am yet. I have no idea what I’m doing.'"

But she is "grateful" for how early she started her career.

It is pertinent to mention that was part of the Disney show for three years which wrapped in 2013.
