Tish Cyrus is opening up about her journey before and after quitting weed.

The podcast host, 57, spoke at length about the circumstances that led her to quit cold turkey in a recent episode of Sorry We're Cyrus with her daughter Brandi, 37.

“It was kind of by accident that I stopped smoking," Tish began as she addressed her October statement where she had said she no longer smokes weed.

“I went on vacation and it was somewhere I could not have pot and like three days in, [I] had the worst anxiety I’ve ever had in my life. And when I tried to smoke again… Nope.”

Even seven months later, Tish admitted to struggling with "so much anxiety." However, she now finds weed, which used to help calm her anxiety, “makes it even worse.”

“I smoked pretty hardcore for like, 10 years. The last seven months has been so bad for me. Like, major anxiety,” she said. “It really did just help me in so many ways. And lately I just have not been okay.”

In 2020, Tish and Brandi launched a podcast titled Sorry We’re Stoned in reference to Tish’s passion for marijuana. In October, the pair renamed the podcast to Sorry We’re Cyrus in the wake of Tish quitting weed.
