Nick Cannon reveals shocking connection between Lupus and Iron Man

A renowned comedian, television host, actor, and rapper, Nick Cannon, recently opened up about his lupus diagnosis in a heartfelt moment while showcasing his Louis Vuitton Iron Man helmet.

In a recent house tour of his “Cannon Estate,” the 44-year-old father of 12 got emotional about his lupus diagnosis from 2012.

On December 31, he took to his official YouTube channel and posted a video, reflecting on a health scare while showing his Louis Vuitton Iron Man helmet.

In the video, Cannon can be seen with his twins, Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-Mariah Carey.

Showcasing his love for Iron Man, the Monster House actor shared, “I’m a huge Iron Man fan because Iron Man almost lost his life, and when he got down to the bottom and they thought it was over, that's when his superhero activated.”

He went on to shed light on his autoimmune disease by saying, “I connected with that because of my lupus, so when I got lupus, I was like, ‘That's my superpower.’ So ever since then, especially the first Iron Man movie, shout-out to Robert Downey Jr. But actually even before that, the comics, somebody had gotten the Iron Man comic.”

“I'm the Black Tony Stark, baby,” Cannon concluded after wearing the helmet.

For the unversed, the Hollywood star previously talked before about living with lupus, which the Mayo Clinic describes as a chronic disease.

Lupus happens when "your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs," and as a result, inflammation affects "joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs."

It is pertinent to mention that Nick Cannon completed 10 years of living with lupus in a video in 2022.
