Britney Spears' ex-husband speaks out about her amid new romance

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari sat down for an interview with Page Six where he opened up about his feelings for the pop star.

He also revealed how being involved with the star had exposed him to the darker aspects of the entertainment industry. “I’ve learned a lot in the past five or six years being exposed to that (darker) side of Hollywood. And it’s quite a blessing,” he explained.

Asghari is set to star on the hit reality show The Traitors, “It was a quick crash course in Hollywood and it sort of helped me. I figured it would be a good tool to actually help me in the Traitors game as well.”

Discussing whether the ex-couple are still in touch, he explained, “I just wish her the best. I think that the number one factor of a partner is to be there for one another, no matter what.”

Even though he was clear that there were no hopes of the relationship being revived, he added, “There’s never ever a need to take advantage of anybody. We all go through this life and we go through different chapters and you meet people along the way and they are a big part of your life. You’re just always thankful for every moment that you spent with people in the past.”

When asked about his thoughts on Britney Spears’ future plans, Sam Asghari stated, “I would love for her to do whatever makes her happy.”
