Aubrey Plaza gets honest about Jeff Baena before his death

Jeff Baena, the husband of Aubrey Plaza, died of suicide. But before his death, his wife shared a post of them on social media, calling him her "darling husband."

The White Lotus actress, who was married to the film director in 2020, captioned, “So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that take us to Italia to cause some more trouble."

“Excited to be reunited with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!) … and so many more fun people in this. Preparati!!,” she added.

On Friday, Baena's assistant found him dead in his home in Los Angeles. The exact details involving his death remained unclear.

His family, meanwhile, has confirmed his death in a statement urging "privacy at this difficult time" as they are "devastated" by his passing.

The couple was dating for 10 years after which they decided to tie the knot in 2020 in secrecy - as they preferred a low profile regarding their relationship.

In May 2021, their relationship came out in public after Aubrey referred to Jeff as her husband in a post on Instagram.

"So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to Italia to cause some more trouble," she penned.
