BTS' Taehyung goes viral amid ‘Squid Game' casting speculation

Taehyung “V” from the K-pop group BTS is going viral for his earlier cosplay as speculation arises that he will be cast in the third season of Squid Game.

The singer wore a cosplay of the red guards in the show during BTS’ Permission To Dance on Stage concert back in 2021. He also donned the iconic mask that the guards wear throughout the series.

When he had initially revealed the cosplay, Taehyung had gone viral on all social media platforms.

Now, the same is happening as fans have been posting compilations and collages of him wearing the suit. The virality of the clips are building anticipation of a possible casting announcement for the final season.

One post in particular that had originally been created in 2021 started circulating once more and accumulated up to 72,000 in only a few hours.

One user wrote, “It’s not even an official account, but his TikTok video has over 91 million views and 13.76 million likes. After watching Squid Game 2, I started thinking about him again, lol.”

Another added, “It’s not edited; this was from his costume at the Permission To Dance concert. The reaction at the time was huge.”

Fans eagerly await any news of Taehyung of BTS appearing on Squid Game season three.
