Selena Gomez reacts to Golden Globes host joke on Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez became the centre of attention when Nikki Glazer, the host of this year’s Golden Globes poked fun at her love life.

According to Daily Mail, the 32-year-old singer-actress, who was nominated for dual nominations, attended the star-studded night with her beau-turned fiancé on Sunday, January 5.

During Glazer’s opening monologue, the 40-year-old host poked some fun at the newly-engaged couple, as she began, “A double nominee tonight for Emelia Perez and Only Murders, and she's here with her new fiance, Benny blanco.”

The host went on to say, “And Benny blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish.”

To this, both Gomez and Blanco, who have been romantically linked since June 2023, awkwardly laughed, according to the publication.

After this, the 36-year-old music producer boyfriend could give the Single Soon hitmaker a kiss on her bare shoulder before Glazer added, “Man, lucky guy.”

During the Golden Globes ceremony, Gomez was nominated in two categories: Best Supporting Actress for her role in Netflix musical movie, Emilia Pérez and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building.

However, Selena Gomez, who announced that she was engaged to Benny Blanco back in December, lost in the former category to her fellow co-star Saldaña.
