Angelina Jolie has shared insight into her way of dealing with her fears.

At the Globe Golden award red carpet, the Maleficent actress candidly talked with Access Hollywood about her fear related to her newly released movie.

Jolie is starring in the movie, Maria, which is based on the biography of opera singer Maria Callas.

“It was so daunting. You know, when the fear is so big, and yet the possibility of doing it is real, you almost feel calm,” she began by saying.

Recalling her performance for the role at Lascala stage, the actor continued, “I was almost giddy because it was such an extraordinary challenge—completely out of my comfort zone.”

Moreover, Jolie revealed her fear as well and said, “Opera scared me. Failing Maria Callas and the people who deeply admire her really terrified me. This was a big fear, but it’s fun.”

“I mean, what are we alive for if not to confront our fears, get our hearts racing, and attempt things we’re unsure of?”

Referring to her first French movie, Stitches, the 49-year-old actress added, “It’s my first time performing entirely in French. My mother spoke French, but I’m not fluent. Taking on scenes in another language was incredibly intimidating.”

Before concluding, the Grammy award winner shared, “This is my decade of doing what scares me.”

Angelina Jolie’s movie Stitches is expected to be released in 2025.
