Dallas Cowboys coach Mike Zimmer recently celebrated a personal victory as Katarina Miketin announced their engagement.
The 42-year-old model took to her official Instagram account and posted a video to announce the news of her engagement with Zimmer.
The post featured the song I Cross My Heart by George Strait.
Miketin also scribbled a lengthy caption under her post that read, “Five years ago they told us we needed to meet…God knew what He was doing. I thank Him for you, my best friend…so, of course…”
She then wrote, “I said Yes!”
The post showed Miketin wearing a large oval-cut diamond ring.
It also included photos of her and the 68-year-old football coach having dinner, wearing funny glasses, and riding horses together.
According to the report of the New York Post, he has been dating Katarina Miketin since 2021.
For the unversed, Zimmer had tied the knot with Vikki, but she passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on October 8, 2009, at the age of 50, per the Minnesota Star Tribune.
After his wife’s death, he spoke to ESPN and sang praises of his wife by saying, "She was the sweetest, kindest, most caring person who'd never say a bad word about anybody."
It is pertinent to mention that Mike Zimmer is currently serving as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.
Previously, he was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings for seven years.
