Meghan Markle gets brutally roasted over new trailer

The trailer for Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix cooking show With Love, Meghan was released on YouTube and fans have taken to roasting the former working royals in the comments.

The eight-part series will premiere on Netflix on January 15 and follows Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, cooking and gardening with her close celebrity friends.

Meghan shared the trailer to her Instagram account and disabled the comments. However, Netflix didn’t follow that approach when uploading the trailer to their YouTube account.

The 34,355 comments on the video are majorly negative, with fans roasting the Duchess over the new show.

One such user wrote, “OMG She took ordinary hummus and elevated it with ... olive oil. Bless her for trying to save us from depressing dips.”

Another wrote: “I love the part where she took her narcissistic obliviousness and elevated it to some of the funniest moments I’ve ever had scrolling the comments.”

A third poked fun at The Office star Mindy Kaling’s appearance in the show, writing, “Mindy Kaling has admitted to having 'baby brain ' when she agreed to appear on this vanity project, 2 months postpartum.”

Yet another argued that Meghan’s cooking show and Prince Harry’s Netflix series Polo seem to lack effort from the duo and seem like attempts to get done with their “contractual obligations” toward Netflix.

“With the release of the polo documentary and now this cooking zero, it looks more like the dastardly duo’s last-minute attempt to either satisfy their contractual obligations or getting the rest of the contractual money from Netflix,” the user wrote.

They added: ‘Would be a great idea if Netflix were able to develop a real documentary called “Behind the Scenes with the Sussexes.”’

One rare positive comment argued that the negative response to Meghan’s trailer is due to her being a “mixed Black woman” and her criticism of the British Royal Family.

“As usual and as with anything to do with this mixed Black woman, you'd find the racists gather [sic] around to spew their venom. They do this because she dared called [sic] out the racism of the British royal family which built its wealth on the back of racism and colonialism,” the user argued of the backlash Meghan Markle is facing.
