Meghan Markle is under pressure to deliver a hit Neflix show after the failure of her husband, Prince Harry’s docuseries, Polo.
The five-part documentary series garnered negative reviews with critics slamming the show for being "cheesy" and "out of touch."
According to a report published by In Touch Weekly, the Duke of Sussex is said to be especially disappointed, as he was really passionate about the project.
Harry and Meghan “are frustrated that Polo didn’t generate much enthusiasm,” the insider said. “This was his pet project.”
“He’s passionate about the subject and is disappointed others failed to see its significance.”
This isn't the first time the couple's Netflix shows haven't done well, the publication shared, adding that there's a lot of pressure on them to create a hit show.
The report comes as Meghan is set to release her cooking show on Netflix, titled With Love, Meghan, in which the Duchess will invite her friends and guests “to a beautiful California estate, where she shares cooking, gardening and hosting tips,” as per the streaming giant.
“Fact is, Harry and Meghan were paid an exorbitant amount of money by Netflix and have little to show for it,” added the insider.
“Whether they admit it or not, the pressure is on for the Sussexes to deliver a hit.”
