KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday telephoned Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and sought details regarding alleged extra-judicial murder of MQM office-bearer Suhail Ahmed.
Ahmed’s dead body was found Wednesday in Mauripur’s Mochko Goth.
Karachi was virtually shut down after the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) strike call to protest against the killing earlier today.
During his telephonic conversation with Ebad, the PPP co-chairman expressed deep grief on the brutal incident.
Meanwhile, former interior minister Senator Rehman Malik called on Governor Ebad at the governor house. Overall political and law and order situation was discussed at the meeting.
