Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend have evacuated their $17.5 million Beverly Hills home as raging wildfires continue to engulf parts of Greater Los Angeles, forcing over 100,000 residents to flee.
The couple, accompanied by their four children, Luna Simone, Miles Theodore, Esti Maxine, and Wren Alexander, along with their pets, including a bearded dragon named Sebastian, have taken refuge in a hotel.
In regards to this, Teigen shared updates with her followers on Instagram, by posting videos from their temporary stay.
She captioned one post as, “Four kids, four dogs, and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel,” while she showed their pets running around the room.
According to Daily Mail, the emotional posts revealed her anxiety over the ongoing situation, with Teigen calling the wildfires a "hellscape" and expressing her gratitude for the firefighters risking their lives to battle the blazes.
Earlier, Teigen shared a mirror selfie from her closet as she packed essentials, describing the surreal and frightening experience.
In this regard, she wrote, “I’m very scared now. Packing.”
Despite the uncertainty, the family ensured their beloved bearded dragon was evacuated safely.
Moreover, the devastating wildfires have claimed at least five lives, destroyed over 1,000 structures, and left numerous neighborhoods in ashes.
Additionally, Teigen and Legend’s home, purchased in 2020, had underwent significant renovations and was featured in Architectural Digest last year.
As per the publication, the wildfires have impacted several high-profile celebrities, including Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, and Paris Hilton, whose homes have been destroyed.
