Mandy Moore expressed gratitude for her family while mourning the loss of her Altadena home in the Eaton Fire as wildfires destroyed Los Angeles.
On Friday, January 10, the This Is Us star shared a heartwarming photo of her youngest daughter, Louise "Lou" Everett Goldsmith, on Instagram.
In regard to this, she wrote in the caption of the image, “My sweet LouLou Bean. Hold tight to your loved ones, friends. Love you, LA,” as she showed baby Lou smiling in her car seat while holding her mom's finger.
Moreover, Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, welcomed Lou in September 2024.
The couple, who got married in 2018, are also parents to sons August "Gus," and Oscar "Ozzie.”
Earlier this week, Moore revealed the extensive losses her family and community suffered in the deadly Eaton Fire, which has burned over 14,000 acres and is only 3% contained, according to Cal Fire.
As per People’s claims, Moore wrote on her social media platform, “I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken, but we will rebuild together.”
Additionally, in an emotional video post, Moore showed the destruction in her neighborhood.
While most of her home was destroyed, she later confirmed that “miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing,” though it’s “not livable.”
Furthermore, the Eaton Fire, which began earlier this week, is one of several blazes sweeping through the region, fueled by dry vegetation and strong winds. The Palisades Fire alone has consumed over 21,000 acres, as per the outlet.
