Piers Morgan reacts to devastating news from California amid Meghan, Harry's statement

Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has released a heartbreaking statement to react to ‘horrific fires’ still raging through Los Angeles.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, Piers Morgan tweeted: “Heartbroken by the horrific fires still raging through Los Angeles. Hard to overstate the utter devastation to so many residential areas.”

The outspoken journalist went on saying, “Praying for all those who’ve already suffered terrible loss, and for all the heroic fire-fighters working so hard, at great personal risk.”

Morgan’s tweet came as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also issued a statement.

Meghan and Harry said, “In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life.

“A state of emergency has been issued.”

They also urged their fans, “If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating.”
