'Princess' Meghan has arrived! Kate and William scramble to limit damage

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to steal the limelight from Prince William, Kate Middleton and several other top members of the British royal family with each step they have taken in 2025.

Meghan, the underdog who had to depart from the UK after being hounded by the British tabloid media, also seems to have had enough as she is making every effort to become the diva she always was.

The former actress made quite a comeback to her celebrity life when she debuted her Instagram account on the first day of 2025.

She is also returning to the screens with a show of her own on Netflix from January 15.

Meghan and Harry are also winning hearts by opening the doors of their mansion to their friends and distributing food among the victims as Los Angeles witnesses destruction amid wildfires.

The couple on Saturday made a surprise appearance at a food bank as they comforted victims and first responders amid the ongoing fires in LA. 

Their visit was watched on live TV as they interacted with the victims and mayor Mayor of Pasadena Victor Gordo. 

Meghan, who is known as the Duchess of Sussex, has received support from the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Blake Lively as she returned to Instagram.

The former US actress is emerging as a bigger celebrity than many actors in Hollywood.

She crossed one million views within hours after her return to Instagram and people, whether they like her or not, seem to be obsessed with everything Meghan does. 

Her husband Prince Harry conceded in an interview that his brother Prince William, who is heir to the throne, has opposed his decision to marry Meghan.

Kate Middleton, William's wife, was also not on good terms with the Suits actress when she married Meghan. 

Meanwhile, in the UK, Prince William and Kate Middleton are not oblivious to what Meghan is doing in California to overshadow the royal family. 

The Prince and Princess of Wales have recently introduced some major changes to how they work.

Prince William's Instagram post to wish his wife Kate Middleton is part of a PR strategy which is a break from their usual policy of being professional and formal.

The new strategy will see the royal couple shift to more PDA as part of their efforts to develop relationships with the public and to counter backlash for being out of touch.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are usually much more private about their relationship and remain stuck to royal etiquette which require them to be formal.

Some royal watchers think William wished his wife in an openly romantic way, which was quite unusual for him. His post has crossed one million likes within a day.

The couple's only video on their official YouTube channel that crossed one million views last year was the one that Kate Middleton uploaded after completing her chemotherapy.

In one of the shots Prince William is seen reassuring his wife by gently touching her hand as she rested her head on his shoulder.

The  physical displays of affection by Prince William and Kate Middleton  was something that is rarely seen in royal appearances and perhaps they were the reason the video is nearing two million views.

Meanwhile, a report in Telegraphy said Kate Middleton will use videos to speak directly to the public after discovering the powerful impact of her messages during cancer treatment.
