Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly where they discussed their wardrobe on The Last Showgirl.

Shipka claimed that wearing the pieces was a joyful experience for her, "They were all archival pieces. They had such a story, they had such a history. It was really fun to go back to wearing stuff that had been honored in a previous life."

The pair play showgirls in the film alongside veteran star Pamela Anderson, which translated to their wardrobe.

"Who doesn’t want to be a showgirl, first of all? And who doesn’t want to wear Bob Mackie?,” questioned Song.

She continued, "Every time we were wearing those headpieces, any feather that flew, people were, like, sweeping them up and putting them in bags ‘cause they were like millions of dollars worth of feathers and gems. Like, if one fell off, people were diving for them."

Despite the aesthetic beauty of the pieces, they admitted that they were quite weighty, "Not just the headpieces, but the actual outfit," added Song.

Pamela Anderson joined in on the conversation in a different interview, claiming she “loved” the pieces, "It was so many fun costumes to wear.”
