Bridgerton star Bessie Carter is set for an exciting project alongside her mother Imelda Staunton.
The actress, who played the role of Prudence Featherington in the famous Netflix series, will join her mother in the upcoming revival of Mrs Warren's Profession, a classic play by George Bernard Shaw.
The mother-daughter duo aged 31 and 69, will star together in the play, written in the 1800s.
As reported by Digital Spy, Staunton, famed for her roles in Harry Potter and The Crown, said in the statement, "The new year felt like the perfect time to return to the stage in Mrs Warren's Profession, a play which asks ever-pertinent questions about the role of women in society, and the choices they make for survival."
"I couldn't be happier to be stepping into the rehearsal room with my very great friend and colleague Dominic [Cooke, the director]; and my brilliant daughter Bessie. What a treat for 2025," she added further.
Meanwhile, Dominic Cooke, the director went on to add, "Although Mrs Warren’s Profession is over 120 years old, it still has the power to shock with its frank and provocative examination of the exploitative nature of society and the double standards applied to women."
It is worth mentioning that Cooke and Staunton have collaborated in previous projects like Follies and Hello, Dolly!
Additionally, Bridgerton actress Carter will star in the play following her appearance in the third season of Netflix series. However, Bridgerton season 4 is scheduled to be released in 2026.
