David Schwimmer opens up about ‘The Great British Bake Off'

David Schwimmer, a veteran American actor, sat down for an interview with Page Six where he gave his thoughts on the show The Great British Bake Off.

“I tear up,” he explained and revealed that his favorite contestant from the most recent season is Nelly Ghaffar, “There’s a woman on it that has stolen my heart. She’s from Slovakia.”

The Friends star appeared on the show himself back in 2023 in an effort to help raise funds for cancer. He made a vegetable and curry pot pie for which he received the famous handshake from Paul Hollywood.

“Honestly, I’ve never had tofu that I’ve enjoyed before. That is a fantastic pie,” gushed Hollywood in the episode.

The actor has made his return to television to star in the limited anthology series, Goosebumps: The Vanishing.

Although, Schwimmer admitted that he had not taken up the tradition of reading the source material to his daughter, he had heard of it before.

“I am a huge fan of the horror-action-comedy genre, and I’ve just never been able to play in that genre, so I was really, really excited,” he added.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing, which was shot in New York, is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
