Delta Goodrem has become the latest celebrity, who had been forced to evacuate her home in order to escape the raging fires in Los Angeles.

The Australian singer shared the devasting news on Instagram Story, while sharing an image of the blaze of the Hollywood Hills.

The 40-year-old singer informed her followers that she and her fiancé Matthew Copley, who split their time between Sydney and Los Angeles, had to temporarily evacuate their home in the city.

Delta began, “I love this beautiful city. It has always been a home away from home for me.”

“My heart is broken and the feeling in the smoke-filled air is devastating,” the Born to Try hitmaker said, adding, “Praying for everyone.”

In the next story, she wrote, “It's difficult to even start with the words to truly express the emotions so many are feeling right now.”

She continued, “I am so grateful for all your messages of support checking in. We had to temporarily evacuate but we are OK.”

“On a journey with everyone here and deeply saddened to see this beautiful city in such a devastating way," the singer added.

Delta Goodrem concluded the post, adding that her "thoughts, love and strength are with everyone dealing with the unimaginable right now".

The news comes as thousands more Los Angeles residents fled their homes on Sunday, January 12, as the deadly Palisades Fire threatens to engulf two more neighbourhoods.
