Dawson's Creek actor Joshua Jackson is among the celebrities, who has lost home in Topanga Canyon, due to the deadly wildfires raging in the Los Angeles area.

According to Page Six, his home, in which the actor spent his early childhood, has been destroyed in wildfires that began earlier this week.

The Doctor Odyssey star, purchased his childhood property again in 2001, telling Mr Porter Magazine that it was a place "where everything felt simple".

The Fringe actor's multi-story home was bordered with trees and bushes, while the the house itself contained a large, wooden deck that offered views of the scenery down below.

Apart from him, celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal and Adam Brody have lost homes in the deadly wildfires raging in the city.

Los Angeles has been under a blanket of ash and smoke now for nearly a week.

The blaze in the Pacific Palisades has destroyed more than 22,000 acres (8.9 hectares), as per NBC.

Countless residents lost their homes and there have been at least 11 fatalities reported so far.
