Sam Thompson finally speaks about 'tough' Zara McDermott split

Sam Thompson has broken his silence on split from Zara McDermott.

The Made In Chelsea star has admitted that the past month has been a tough time for him.

During his podcast, Staying Relevant with Pete Wicks, Sam revealed that the breakup left him feeling "on edge" over the Christmas period.

“It was tough. It’s been a tough month. A real tough month,” Sam said.

Pete also recalled his “best pal” Sam telling him about his christmas saying, “It was like being in a Christmas tomb. I’ve been sat in my house surrounded by Christmas stuff and I don’t feel Christmassy.”

Rumours of the breakup initiated last month, and it was reported then that the couple, who had been together for five years, parted ways due to a difficult year.

It is worth mentioning that just hours before Sam's podcast episode aired, Zara appeared to confirm the split. She posted a TikTok video showcasing her new home, which was not the one where she lived with Sam.

Additionally, Sam's sister Louise Thompson also hinted that she would remain friends with Zara despite the breakup.
