Mandy Moore's family undergoes major change after losing home

Mandy Moore’s brother, Griffin Goldsmith, has had to undergo a major change after losing his home in Altadena, California.

He took to his Instagram to reveal that he and his family were now staying with Lizzy McGuire star Hilary Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma.

“Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme for us to help with everything moving forward,” read the caption.

Adding, “Not to mention they are currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began.”

Goldsmith continued, “I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known.”

Koma and Duff took on the task of setting up a GoFundMe for Goldsmith as well as his pregnant wife after the tragic event.

Moore also utilized her social media to share the link and encourage her fans to support them, writing, “So many have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time … Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild.”

The actress received criticism for her post, with fans wondering why she was not supporting them herself, to which she responded, “We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything.”
